Responsive Design Checker ("the Extension") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.

Data We Collect

• Anonymous Device ID — A randomly generated identifier stored locally in your browser. This is used solely to manage your extension settings and license status. It cannot be linked to your identity.
• Usage Statistics — We collect anonymous usage data including which device types are previewed (e.g., "iPhone 15 Pro", "iPad Air"). This helps us improve the extension and prioritize new device additions.

Data We Do NOT Collect

• URLs — We do not store or transmit the URLs of websites you preview. All previewing happens locally in your browser.
• Personal Data — We do not collect your name, email address, browsing history, or any personally identifiable information through the extension.
• Page Content — We never read, store, or transmit the content of the pages you visit.

License Keys

If you purchase a Premium license, your license key is stored locally in your browser's extension storage. We store the license key on our server only to verify its validity when you activate it.

Payment Processing

All payment processing is handled by Stripe. We never see or store your credit card number, banking details, or other financial information. Stripe's privacy policy governs the handling of your payment data.

Cookies & Tracking

We do not use cookies. We do not use any third-party analytics, tracking pixels, or advertising services.

Data Storage & Security

Usage statistics are stored on a secure server hosted by OVH in France. Data is stored in an encrypted SQLite database. We retain usage statistics for a maximum of 12 months.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your data with any third party. The only exception is Stripe for payment processing.

Your Rights

You can request deletion of all data associated with your device ID at any time by contacting us. Under GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, or erase your data.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated through the extension's update notes.
